Introducing you to Gertrude
I thought as this is all new to me that it would be a
good idea to firstly introduce you to my ongoing project that I started to get
to know a while ago in April. She was a fantastic birthday present from my
amazing boyfriend for my birthday!
So once she was constructed she needed a base coat so out came the white acrylic and ka-bam a beautiful albino giraffe takes residence in the middle of the bedroom floor for the foreseeable future!
So the
decopatching begins to turn her into the near to life size stunner she deserves to be! By the way Gertrude is about the same height as me so a bit over 5 foot! If you haven't used decopatch before you really need to go discover it and find out what you are missing!!
So here is Gertrude showing off her monacle that I decided to do after seeing the movie Arthur, she is not yet complete and the eyes will definately need some work once she is all decopatched and varnished, but hey shes a work in progress!!!!
